R and B singer Mary J. Blige has been caught in an advertising controversy after AI music company Suno pulled a campaign featuring the singer.
Suno said the deal was brokered by someone who falsely presented themselves as Blige’s authorized representative, adding that she never approved the campaign.
The video showed Blige using Suno to create music inspired by her catalog, appearing to endorse the AI platform amid ongoing copyright battles.
The incident also recalls Blige’s negative experience with a 2012 Burger King commercial, which she previously blamed on poor representation and management.
