Drake’s Team Denies Stealing ‘Janice STFU’ Chorus Following New Lawsuit

October 20, 2026

Canadian rapper Drake's team has denied allegations that he stole the chorus of his song Janice STFU, following a lawsuit filed by music producer Aviel Hirschfield.

Hirschfield claims he recorded the chorus in January and submitted it to producers associated with Drake, but received neither credit nor compensation after the song was released in May.

Drake's representatives have rejected the allegations, insisting the rapper wrote the song himself and has no connection to Hirschfield.

The track appears on Drake's album ICEMAN, while the legal dispute remains ongoing.
